Unhurried by Design
We move at the family's pace. There is no pressure to rush through paperwork or decisions at a time when clarity matters most.
Plain Language Always
Legal procedures can feel opaque. We translate every step into plain English so every family member understands what is happening and why.
Complete Discretion
Estate matters are private. We handle all documentation and correspondence with the care and confidentiality that a family's legacy deserves.
Deep Local Knowledge
Thai inheritance law has specific requirements. Our team's familiarity with local courts, registries, and procedures helps matters move forward without unnecessary delays.
Written Summaries Provided
After each significant step, we provide a clear written record so the family always has something to refer back to — and nothing is forgotten.
One Consistent Point of Contact
From the first call to the closing report, families work with the same lawyer. There is no passing between departments or repeating the same details.
Would it Help to Talk Things Through?
There is no obligation in an initial conversation. If you are facing an estate matter and are unsure where to begin, we are glad to listen and help you understand the path ahead — at whatever pace feels right.

Common Questions
Things Families Often Ask
What happens during the first consultation?
The first session is a private, unhurried conversation. We listen to the situation, ask some gentle questions to understand the estate, and then explain the steps that lie ahead in plain language. You receive a written summary of the options at the end. There is no expectation of any further commitment at that stage.
How does Thai inheritance law handle foreign nationals?
Thai inheritance law applies to assets situated in Thailand regardless of the nationality of the deceased. Cross-border estates do carry additional considerations, including the recognition of foreign wills. We walk families through these specifics clearly and thoroughly during the consultation stage.
How long does estate administration typically take?
Straightforward estates with clear documentation can often be resolved within one to three months. More complex matters — those involving property, multiple heirs, or cross-border assets — may take longer. We give a realistic timeline assessment at the outset and keep the family informed as things develop.
What documents should I gather before getting in touch?
Please do not worry if you do not have everything to hand. Any documents available — a will, title deeds, bank account statements, identification documents — are helpful, but the consultation can proceed without them. We will identify what is needed and help you understand how to obtain it.
Are fees fixed or charged by the hour?
Our three service engagements are offered at fixed scope fees — ฿4,550 for the initial consultation, ฿9,800 for estate administration, and ฿17,400 for full case representation. This means families can plan with clarity rather than face uncertainty around billing. Any variation in scope would be discussed and agreed before proceeding.
How is confidentiality maintained?
All matters handled by Garuda Law are strictly confidential. Client information is never shared with third parties outside the scope of the engagement and is stored securely. Our team understands that inheritance matters are deeply personal, and treats every file accordingly.
